Introduction
Embarking on my English teaching practicum at Sussex College, Kiribathgoda has been a pivotal step in my journey towards attaining the Bachelors of Honors degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from University of Kelaniya. Choosing this reputable international school, catering Grade 1-11 helped me to experience a diverse and dynamic teaching environment.
The school was started on 16th of January 2024 for the new term after the holidays, offering a hectic and busy atmosphere that gradually settled into a structured timetable. This period helped me to get adapted to the school culture, to build connections with the students, and to lay foundation for a rewarding teaching experience. This e-portfolio sums up my Teaching Philosophy, Reflective Summaries spanning for four weeks, an insightful Observation Write-up by the teacher-in-charge of English, Comprehensive lesson plans, Testimonials and meticulous Observation forms.
As you read through these pages, I invite you to join me on this transformative journey as I explore the essence of my educational philosophy and the vivid tapestry of experiences woven during my internship at Sussex College, Kiribathgoda.
